My STORY.
I went through a time, where I couldn't write songs. I would pick up my guitar and strum waiting for the guitar to move me. Then I would walk to the piano and play some chords and smash the keys in frustration.
Had the muse left me?
Does the muse even exist?
I went through a you tube rabbit hole looking for a way to be inspired.
I read songwriting books, bought songwriting courses, learned music production and tried to fill the void. Even though I had written over 100 songs. I was hitting my head against a wall.
I had to find out why.
I discovered all the inspiration I needed was inside me, I found I could be inspired by nature, by a word , by a sound and that my creativity was limitless.
Keep searching for your what you feel you need to say, keep digging down into yourself and do an excavation and see what you can use.
Through the power of songwriting, I found out that I had lost the relationship to who I always wanted to be and to who I was. So I started getting to know what I wanted, what I needed and what I had to say and began I sing to my present and future self.
